The Carousel Harmony Chorus has been a chapter of Sweet Adelines International since 1988 and is a part of Region #16 of the international organization.  Sweet Adelines is a highly respected worldwide nonprofit organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances. The barbershop style of four-part, a cappella harmony lends itself to songs from any era, and the Carousel Harmony Chorus repertoire spans several genres of past and present popular music. The members’ love of singing and performing in a “show chorus” style transcends the stage to reach the audience. Their high-energy, upbeat tunes and expressive interpretation of ballads thrill listeners with chords that ring and music that touches deep emotions.

    Carousel Harmony Chorus is located in Vestal NY, and members come from communities in the Broome County area of Southern New York State.  We are noted locally for our annual show, which showcases the diversity of our chorus and our enthusiasm for barbershop singing.  It often features local talent, along with guest performers of various musical backgrounds. 

     In April 2008, under the direction of Debbie Saucke, we  placed third among choruses of our size in our Region.

    Other performance highlights include local holiday caroling and annual festivals, area fairs and outdoor concerts.  In addition, Carousel Harmony shares our harmony with community organizations, church and social gatherings, civic events, senior centers, area schools, charitable functions, business affairs and private receptions.
